For over twenty-two years, Bob Linscheid has been very involved in the marketing and business attraction of companies to Butte County. He has operated his own public relations, advocacy & marketing consulting firm specializing in business attraction, retention and community relations. Prior to starting his own company in 1993, The Linscheid Company, he served fourteen years as the Chief Executive Officer of three different chambers of commerce. Seven of those years were as CEO for the Chico Chamber of Commerce. He is the retired President/Chairman of the Board of the Chico Outlaws Professional Baseball Club part of the Golden Baseball League and maintains an ownership interest in the League. He received his BA and Masters degree in Public Administration from Chico State University and served a term as Associated Student Body President. He also is a graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organization Management and served a term as chairman of the Board of Regents at the UCLA Institute. Bob is a member of the California State University Board of Trustees since 2005 and serves on the CSU Alumni Council. Bob has received numerous service awards including the College of Business Person of the Year, Executive of the Year for the Western Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, Humanitarian of the Year for Rotary District 5160 in 2003 and is a three-time Paul Harris Fellow Recipient in Rotary International. He is also a founder of Leadership Chico and  served as President of Chico Rotary. For three consecutive years Bob has been recognized by the California State Student Association (CSSA) as the "Trustee of the Year." He has also served as District Coordinator for the Polio Eradication Campaign that raised over $600,000 for the eradication this deadly disease. Bob has also been on three Rotaplast missions to South America (Venezuela, Chile and Columbia).
